Bong

For example, young people in particular call this kind of water pipe for smoking cannabis. The smoke is passed through a water tank and thus cooled. Since a lot of smoke is inhaled quickly, the experience of raging through the bong intensifies.

Cannabis

The Latin name for hemp. Cannabis refers to both the hemp plant and its ingredients with psychoactive effect. In Europe, cannabis is consumed in processed form as marijuana or hashish. In other regions, however, hashish oil is also common. The most common types are cannabis sativa (common hemp) and cannabis indica (Indian hemp).

Cannabis sativa

The Asian cannabis plant Cannabis sativa supplies the raw materials for hashish, which is made from the resin of the plant, and marijuana, which consists of shredded and dried cannabis flowers and leaves. Hashish is colloquially also called “dope”, marijuana is called “grass”.

Cannabinoids (CBN)

This is what the ingredients of the cannabis plant are called. Main ingredient is the THC, which is psychoactive – that is responsible for the intoxication. There are also over 100 other cannabinoids. This includes cannabidiol (CBD), which is included in also in medical cannabis. In general, the ratio of CBD to THC in Indian hemp is higher. This circumstance is attributed to the more soothing effect of Indian hemp.

Cannabidiol (CBD)

Is a barely psychoactive cannabinoid from the female cannabis sativa / indica cannabis. Medically, it has anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic and nausea. Increasingly, it is also be said that CBD has an antipsychotic effect and can protect the brain from cannabis damage. It is a unique combination of structure and composition within the total of 104 cannabinoids, which are naturally hemp and cannabis sativa. CBD is the largest cannabinoid content in the plant after THC.

Entourage effect

The term “entourage effect” comes from cannabis research and states that a mixture of vegetable substances has a higher biological activity than the isolated pure substance itself.

Hemp / hemp plants

A plant with many different types and benefits. The hemp plant is one of the oldest known crops. The fibers have been used for centuries for the manufacture of ropes and fabrics. Hemp plants have two sexes that develop different flowers. The intoxicant is obtained mainly from parts of female plants, as they contain more active ingredient.

Hashish / Piece / Dope / Shit

Hashish consists mainly of the resin of the female hemp inflorescences. It has a dark color and a firm or friable consistency. For sale, hashish is pressed into slabs or lumps, which, however, are often stretched with other plants. Mostly it is smoked.

Marijuana / grass / ganja

Those are the plant parts that people smoke. For the preparation of marijuana mainly dried and crushed plant parts of the female cannabis plant are used. The THC content is about 10% on average.

Phenol (hydroxybenzene)

Phenol (hydroxybenzene) is an organic compound. This consists of a benzene ring in which a hydrogen atom has been replaced by a hydroxyl group.

Spice/ synthetic cannabinoids

Under names such as “Spice” or “Smoke” herbal mixtures are sold, which are used according to the manufacturer for the fragrances of rooms. However, the mixtures are usually smoked in practice. They contain synthetically produced cannabinoids. The artificial ingredients are a danger, as they are often stronger than natural cannabis and their concentration can vary greatly. Consuming “spice” is very dangerous especially for young adults – it is not uncommon that mental disorders (psychosis) occur!

Terpene

Terpen is a natural product with different functions in the plant world. It is known for its abundance of aromas and fragrances and therefore also for nutritional supplements. The aroma of each cannabis plant is determined by the terpenes it contains.

THC

Tetrahydrocannabinol [THC, more precisely Δ⁹-trans-tetrahydrocannabinol] is a psychoactive substance that belongs to the cannabinoids. The substance occurs in plants of the genus hemp and it is the main part of the intoxicating effect awarded. Depending on the plant variety, the THC content varies greatly.

Vaporiser

A vaporizer or vaporiser (literally vaporizer) is a device for vaporizing drugs like cannabis. Unlike inhalers, the substance is vaporized directly instead of evaporating a solution. In the case of additional heating, the substance is ideally heated only to the extent that the desired ingredients evaporate. Combustion is avoided, so that no unwanted by-products arise.
